ORAL SURGERY
While one of our main goals is to preserve your natural teeth as much as possible, sometimes they are so damaged that they need to be extracted.
Lavin performs oral surgeries under strictly controlled, sterile conditions. All procedures are pain-free, done with a local anaesthetic, and causing minimal trauma to the surrounding tissue.
Tooth extraction must be followed by proper care and rest, which helps quick and safe healing.
Tooth extraction
(having a tooth pulled)
This is the most common procedure in modern oral surgery. In addition to a routine tooth extraction, sometimes a surgical extraction is necessary, usually in the cases of impacted wisdom teeth.
Frenectomy
Fraenulum is a fold of skin beneath the tongue or between the lip and the gum. Frenectomy is a routine procedure, performed where there is high fraenulum adhesion. This is done to prevent gum withdrawal and periodontal disease in the area around the fraenulum.
Sinus lift
A sinus lift is a procedure that adds bone to the upper jaw in the area of molars and premolars for the placement of dental implants. To make room for the artificial bone, the sinus membrane has to be moved upward, or "lifted".
Cyst
removal
A cyst forms as a result of an infection, a tooth that hasn’t come out, or a trauma. Cysts are treated only surgically – they need to be removed completely from the bone or soft tissue.
